Its Public Relations clients include Lincoln Center, George Enescu International Festival and Competition, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, Young Concert Artists, and the Sphinx Organization, alongside a broad range of artists.
Primo Artists is seeking a Booking Assistant to support our North American booking operation in a part-time, remote, hourly capacity. The Booking Assistant will help generate revenue through bookings, manage a high volume of presenter correspondence, and keep our booking systems and materials current—leveraging AI tools across the role. This position reports to Tabitha Brandel Elliott, Artist Manager & Booking Agent and Manager of Company Operations.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited direction.
Booking Responsibilities
- Support revenue generation through bookings for management artists
- Handle a high volume of booking correspondence, sending numerous emails and making a large number of calls to presenters, orchestras, festivals, and performing arts centers within short timeframes
- Assist Management Division with general booking support, working through engagements from initial inquiry through confirmation
- Update and maintain contacts, engagement details, and notes in Overture and market sheets, ensuring all records are consistently accurate and up to date
- Create and update sales materials including one-sheets, email blasts and flyers
- Prepare materials and outreach lists in advance of industry conferences
AI-Supported Workflow
- Use AI tools to support clerical booking tasks—including route slips, meeting summaries, presenter follow-ups, newsletters, web posts, and procurement of contact information
- Review and proof AI-generated outputs for accuracy and tone before final materials are delivered to team members
Requirements
- Performs calmly and reliably under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Works efficiently and effectively, with impeccable attention to detail
- Comfortable sending a high volume of emails and making a large number of calls in a short period of time
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation, responsiveness, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to pick up new tools quickly
- Proficiency with graphic design and image-editing software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Experience maintaining websites on platforms such as Squarespace, WordPress, or similar
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, image and video generators) and a genuine interest in how they can be applied thoughtfully to creative and operational work
- Bachelor’s degree and a classical-music background
- Experience in the performing-arts industry is a plus
