Updating and enhancing ISAKOS’s engagement platforms is crucial in expanding the reach of ISAKOS development and educational offerings. A nonprofit with more than 4,000+ global members, ISAKOS seeks a development and education professional to drive its growth in education, research and mentorship opportunities for its members.
Position Summary:
ISAKOS is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Global Development and Education to help drive execution of the Society’s growth and education initiatives. An integral member of the ISAKOS Global Development and Education Team, this role manages projects that that enable innovative solutions to grow educational offerings, remote learning, mentorship, member benefits, expansion of offerings such as fellowships, research grants, approved courses, etc. This includes but is not limited to support of educational programming and resources available to ISAKOS members and affiliates. The incumbent will help design and deliver the development and educational experiences that ensure success, supporting surgeons as they discover, learn about, and engage with ISAKOS.
This position aligns with both the Global Development and Education Teams to support projects that drive the organization forward. This requires professional experience and demonstrates competence in managing projects, understanding of educational needs of our members on a global scale and identifying new opportunities for continuous improvement that expands the reach of ISAKOS ‘s portfolio.
Requirements
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Education Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive online learning pathways to enhance ISAKOS’s educational reach and impact.
Identify trends in online medical education and implement innovative solutions to improve global educational reach.
Implement digital and eLearning strategies, from planning and organization through execution and evaluation, ensuring alignment with ISAKOS’s strategic goals.
Work closely with faculty, subject matter experts, and committees to develop engaging education assets that fill identified needs and gaps.
Facilitate access by ensuring offerings are relevant and desirable to a diverse international audience of learners
Development & Management of ISAKOS Special Projects
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent execution and quality assurance for project such as:
o Research grants
o Mentorships
o Traveling Fellowships
o Approved Courses
o Teaching Centers
o More….
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work with ISAKOS Committees and collaborate effectively with ISAKOS Office team members in education and global development to drive project execution
Act as the primary staff liaison for the ISAKOS Scientific Committee, Global Fellowship Committee and New Technologies Task Force, and provide other committee support, as needed.
Work with external vendors and technology providers to enhance ISAKOS’s offerings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree Education or a Health-Related Field. Master’s degree and/or additional certification preferred.
8-10 years of experience in project management, learning strategies and management.
Proven expertise in project management, learning strategies and programming
Strong understanding of the global market and orthopaedic educational and growth needs
Experience managing contracted resources to drive special projects forward
Specific Skills:
Strong leadership and project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven communication, collaboration and creative problem-solving skills.
Outside the box thinking to bring creativity and innovation to the ISAKOS processes.
Skilled in development and execution of SOPs, gaining buy in and validation from consulted resources.
Comfort with working with an international audience of learners and faculty, across time zones.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities to ensure completion.
Strong desire to learn and apply new ideas in a fast-paced evolving orthopaedic association environment.
Experience supporting educational programming through a variety of tools for webinars, virtual learning and other digital learning tools.
Working Conditions/ Travel:
Remote workplace
Participation in and coordination of online international teleconferences and face-to-face meetings (may take place outside of standard work hours/days)
Limited travel in the US and abroad, as needed.
