Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and active ACLS/BLS certifications.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Weekday-primary schedule with occasional weekend and rotating holiday requirements
- Patient ratio of approximately 1:5
- Telemetry monitoring and IV starts are core clinical skills used in this role
- Epic EMR used for documentation
- Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your profile and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting the position — candidates currently outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible
- Parking permit options are available for purchase on-site through the facility's campus parking system
